Hilary Holladay is a scholar of modern and contemporary American poetry currently writing a biography of the poet Adrienne Rich (under advance contract with Nan Talese of Knopf/Doubleday). She is a graduate of the University of Virginia with an M.A. from the College of William & Mary and a Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The author of five books and co-editor of two essay collections, she has taught at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, James Madison University, and the University of Virginia.
